Gheorghe Vărzaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Gianluca Scamacca succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 8th playminute. Gheorghe Vărzaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Scamacca in the 16th minute of play. After 18 minutes, David Cismarescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Buzău and the Henley Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Buzău getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. David Cismarescu hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Ionel Lung notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Henley Utd's Erling Söderqvist. Erling Söderqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, FC Buzău's Gheorghe Vărzaru got control of the ball when Gianluca Scamacca tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute, FC Buzău's David Cismarescu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed David Cismarescu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Buzău protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and David Cismarescu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Henley Utd booed when FC Buzău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Cismarescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Vărzaru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Buzău from getting a goal against them. Gheorghe Vărzaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Nordström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gianluca Scamacca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Gheorghe Vărzaru made a huge save. A collision led to FC Buzău getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Sorin Zâncă hit a great ball. Gheorghe Vărzaru made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Gianluca Scamacca sent off a good shot on target. Ionel Lung struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Erling Söderqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Buzău.

Gheorghe Vărzaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Scamacca in the 51st minute of play. Jonas Lundberg's late challenge caught a FC Buzău's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Lundberg helped the player get up and apologised. Elliot Mårtensson kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match, Tudor Bosânceanu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Erling Söderqvist was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 67 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Brian Ingvall came free, but Gheorghe Vărzaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, FC Buzău's Erling Söderqvist threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ionel Lung, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gheorghe Vărzaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Nordström in the 72nd minute of play. After 72 minutes, Sorin Zâncă mouthed his way into the referee's book. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Ingvall in the 79th minute of play forced FC Buzău's goalkeeper Gheorghe Vărzaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Buzău's Ionel Lung got a free kick in the 82nd minute. August Wennerqvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gheorghe Vărzaru. FC Buzău's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Brian Ingvall scored 3-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gheorghe Vărzaru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 92 played minutes Henley Utd got a freekick which was hit by Per-Olof Stigsson. Sorin Zâncă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Erling Söderqvist made a huge save.
