After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Mina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Eyague breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Peep Pronk tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC LeX Luthor's Fulgencio Eyague was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Peep Pronk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC LeX Luthor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peep Pronk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Errando got free with Rolando Noboa in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 25th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Milagros Fraga immediately put the ball in play. AC LeX Luthor's Fulgencio Eyague played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 26th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 61st match minute, AC LeX Luthor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Porfiro to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, Peru's Eliseo Mina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulgencio Eyague narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Luz Tejedor slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fulgencio Eyague. That made the score 0-2 after 77 minutes of play. A sloppy throw-in by Silvestre Semeno in the 90th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Rafael Gallo scored 0-4 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fulgencio Eyague, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The AC LeX Luthor fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
