After having played for 25 minutes, Emilio Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Werneck FC - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilio Machado in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emilio Machado in the 32nd minute. After 33 minutes of play, Werneck FC - DMZ's Emilio Machado made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 35 played minutes Werneck FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Andrade. In the 38th minute, Geraldo Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Felix Donciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 42nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Emilio Machado kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 6-0 in the 43 minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Machado to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Emilio Machado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Werneck FC - DMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Werneck FC - DMZ's Laerte Porto was substituted for Basílio Baiano. In the 62nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Donciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Machado spun around in front of the goal 64 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Venezuela's goal. Werneck FC - DMZ made a substitution. Zé Paulo Luz replaced Emilio Machado. 77 minutes into the match, Caetano Linares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caetano Linares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Felix Donciu made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Zé Paulo Luz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Zé Paulo Luz made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. When Diamantino Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Werneck FC - DMZ's protests and gave Diamantino Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. Diamantino Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
