One of Fortuna 86 Szczecin:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chile:s goal. Stipe Pletikosa had in the 62ndth minute some difficulties stopping Mariano Lacasa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Thiago Pliego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stipe Pletikosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 93rd minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stipe Pletikosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Stipe Pletikosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 94th minute of play. 98 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stipe Pletikosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 99 minutes into the match, Fortuna 86 Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Stipe Pletikosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chile's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
