Klement Bara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Rokita Brzeg Dolny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yu Bin Hao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rokita Brzeg Dolny's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kazimierz Felenak went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score.

After 53 minutes, Juan Sebastián Puig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Rokita Brzeg Dolny players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rokita Brzeg Dolny's Oliver Galvan was substituted for Valērijs Bensons. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 54th minute. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ludomil Cebula hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Oliver Galvan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oliver Galvan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 90 minutes into the game, Rokita Brzeg Dolny's Oliver Galvan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 94th minute, Kazimierz Felenak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rokita Brzeg Dolny fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Galvan in the 98th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Rokita Brzeg Dolny had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
