In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Royal PSG's goalkeeper Tristan Bétourne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Samuel Izard received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Manzanares came out and tried to block the shot, but Samuel Izard slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 23rd minute. Théophile Boutillier kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 27th minute of play forced Royal PSG's goalkeeper Tristan Bétourne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tristan Bétourne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 30th minute of play. If Samuel Izard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Royal PSG's Ferhat Özsan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Antonio Indiano, made in the 36th minute of the game. In the 38th minute, Axel Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tristan Bétourne was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.

The wind increased when Samuel Izard made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Izard came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Izard in the 56th minute of play. Kevin Mastache struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Tristan Bétourne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 89 minutes into the match, Royal PSG's Samuel Izard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, Royal PSG's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Secada came free, but Tristan Bétourne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tristan Bétourne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Secada in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Bétourne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
