Dé Čáp made a great header on SAPRIMECKBEL's corner, it was just that Costa Rica's Benito Sanz managed to reach the ball for a save. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Kerry Flöter sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. 48 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Flöter came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half SAPRIMECKBEL were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. 51 minutes in the game, Kerry Flöter fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Kerry Flöter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SAPRIMECKBEL's Dé Čáp got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over SAPRIMECKBEL could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
