The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A very good chance. In the 8th minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Carballo during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. 中职联-成都蓉城's 严枫平 got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with 卓凌枫 in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Carballo to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, 杜鹏鹰 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costa Rica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Tasis in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 严枫平 in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute, 严枫平 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 中职联-成都蓉城 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 41 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when 杜鹏鹰 came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 杜鹏鹰 to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game 杜鹏鹰 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, 中职联-成都蓉城's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 杜鹏鹰, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Tasis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 卓凌枫 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as 中职联-成都蓉城's 杜鹏鹰 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-3 after 61 minutes of play. After 67 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. 70 minutes into the match, 中职联-成都蓉城's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Puig came free, but 卓凌枫 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Carballo lost his temper 75 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Costa Rica:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of 中职联-成都蓉城:s goal. The referee gave 中职联-成都蓉城 a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by 毛骋光, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. 1-4. 杜鹏鹰 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when 杜鹏鹰 sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 邱亦寒. When 严枫平 came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the 中职联-成都蓉城 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 严枫平 couldn't finish the play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 杜鹏鹰, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded 中职联-成都蓉城 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
