Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 3rd match minute, Gyál United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balázs Berta to maneuver through the defense. Balázs Berta kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 5th minute of the match Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sándor Jászberényi skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice moves László Medgyesi could shoot a difficult shot in the 10th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. 13 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Sándor Jászberényi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sándor Jászberényi. Gyál United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sándor Jászberényi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbert Vajda in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute Gyál United were awarded a corner. Lajos Détári went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Gyál United's corner Lajos Détári fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when László Medgyesi got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbert Vajda in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Sándor Jászberényi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 44th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbert Vajda in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when László Medgyesi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Sándor Jászberényi in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Gyál United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. A collision led to Gyál United getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Zoltán Ebedli hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sándor Jászberényi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sándor Jászberényi came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Illescas slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 74th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 78 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Sándor Jászberényi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by László Medgyesi in the 84th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 86th minute of play forced Gyál United's goalkeeper Sándor Jászberényi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Sándor Jászberényi made a huge save. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Gyál United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibor Kerékgyártó didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sándor Jászberényi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. The Gyál United supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Venezuela's performance. The match ended with a win for Venezuela.
