In the 18th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto Bide. ALAMBRE de PÚAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Bide prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 30 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Baltasar Felipillo came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 35 in the game by Alberto Laffitte from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. In the 37th minute, Luis Iyan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Peru came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game was made by Luis Iyan with Alberto Laffitte as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Baltasar Felipillo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Baltasar Felipillo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonardo Peru made a kick off. The supporters of Venezuela booed when ALAMBRE de PÚAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Perutxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Alberto Laffitte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Laffitte took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Rogelio Cisco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. In the 63rd minute, Luis Iyan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Fausto Bide in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Peru, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonardo Peru's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Felipillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in ALAMBRE de PÚAS's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Bide came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ALAMBRE de PÚAS had won after a very even match.
