With a little luck, Calentura's Vacid Seralp got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vacid Seralp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 15 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Sergen Kutsalan came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luciano Barreiros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Vacid Seralp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 19th minute. Chile were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Calentura's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. The corner led Chile's Xavier Figueroa to fire away a dangerous shot which Vacid Seralp despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergen Kutsalan in the 24th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Sergen Kutsalan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Chile booed when Calentura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Brena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergen Kutsalan, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vacid Seralp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Vacid Seralp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vacid Seralp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 82nd minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vacid Seralp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vacid Seralp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vacid Seralp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vacid Seralp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergen Kutsalan struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calentura. Calentura's Vacid Seralp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Luciano Barreiros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thiago Pliego. The goal made the score 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chile fans cheered their team off the field, for while Calentura had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
