Tancredo Manguyague showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Snorlax FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Tancredo Manguyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes Snorlax FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Felix Montenegro sped through Snorlax FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tancredo Manguyague. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Mario Jesus Allu tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Snorlax FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Francisco Hernández hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 65th minute Mario Jesus Allu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Tancredo Manguyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Felix Montenegro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A hard shot 73 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Tancredo Manguyague managed to make a qualified save. Snorlax FC's players were relieved. In the 74th minute, Zebulón Diaz de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mario Jesus Allu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 86thth minute of the game Mario Jesus Allu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tibalt Bruna took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 93rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tancredo Manguyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
