Emanuel Aurre got a throw-in 3 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ariel Artaldo. 4 minutes into the match, Cecilio Tristan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 1-0. In the 10th minute, Abuba Akotonon FC's Cecilio Tristan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 18th play minute Cecilio Tristan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genaro Elivareo got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abuba Akotonon FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Genaro Elivareo in the 23rd minute. The corner led Abuba Akotonon FC's Genaro Elivareo to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cecilio Tristan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Cecilio Tristan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cecilio Tristan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Cecilio Tristan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abuba Akotonon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cecilio Tristan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute Cecilio Tristan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abuba Akotonon FC's Genaro Elivareo got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Genaro Elivareo's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genaro Elivareo helped the player get up and apologised. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cecilio Tristan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vânderson Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Hugo Orlando Gatti in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Tristan, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 81st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Cecilio Tristan took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After 91 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Abuba Akotonon FC made a substitution. Emiliano Enol replaced Cecilio Tristan. In the 92nd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joshua Secada kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Garay in the 95th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Emiliano Enol put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant.
