Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Francisco Seco got the match started through his kick off. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A throw-in in the 8th minute of the game was made by Benjamin Blakeley with Damien Fowler as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Gary Delaney's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gary Delaney helped the player get up and apologised. Alf Ploughman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 20th minute of the game was made by Tod Simpson with Benjamin Blakeley as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damien Fowler got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Uruguay's attentive Alberto Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Benjamin Blakeley made a throw-in in the 26th minute of the game. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Alf Ploughman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, FC Soldeu's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Alf Ploughman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 41st minute of play forced FC Soldeu's goalkeeper Alf Ploughman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Tod Simpson in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. Alf Ploughman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damien Fowler to make the kick off. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damien Fowler, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damien Fowler's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Ploughman having to interfere. After 61 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gary Delaney who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Gary Delaney got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joaquin Gayoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alf Ploughman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 64th minute. Alf Ploughman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Seco went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. FC Soldeu's Darren Blewitt got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to FC Soldeu getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. John Glanvill hit a great ball. With a little luck, FC Soldeu's Alf Ploughman got control of the ball when Jaime Cazalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Darren Blewitt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Uruguay booed when FC Soldeu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Milton didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Uruguay players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented FC Soldeu from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
