An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 15th minute of play forced Sportivo Mela Banco's goalkeeper Zeledon Ilazki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeledon Ilazki. After 34 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeledon Ilazki was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Ilazki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Mela Banco's goalkeeper Zeledon Ilazki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zeledon Ilazki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeledon Ilazki. Sportivo Mela Banco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. 44 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeledon Ilazki. Sportivo Mela Banco's Zeledon Ilazki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Mela Banco from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Zeledon Ilazki successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 65th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zeledon Ilazki saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sportivo Mela Banco's Zeledon Ilazki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Luis Andino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zeledon Ilazki, 0-12. Zeledon Ilazki made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Zeledon Ilazki in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Zeledon Ilazki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Zeledon Ilazki was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 0-13. Zeledon Ilazki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 83rd minute. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Felix Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Zeledon Ilazki. Sportivo Mela Banco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-15. 92 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeledon Ilazki. Sportivo Mela Banco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-16. 96 minutes into the game, Cayetano Chesus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportivo Mela Banco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Sportivo Mela Banco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Chesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute, Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sportivo Mela Banco's Zeledon Ilazki didn't even have to move. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sportivo Mela Banco throughout the match.
