Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Diego Belém kicked off to start the match. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Belém went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute, Amir Pieng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Albirex Niigata FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Alexander Tan hit a great ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 18th minute, but Benito Sanz got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Costa Rica hanging dry this time. Diego Belém could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Albirex Niigata FC's Diego Belém. But to his dismay, Diego Belém quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Diego Belém had several of the Costa Rica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 28 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Benito Sanz as he didn't even see the shot coming. 32 minutes into the match, Albirex Niigata FC's Diego Belém sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Diego Belém took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Belém in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Diego Belém made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Belém in the 56th minute of play. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Belém went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. After 71 minutes of play, Albirex Niigata FC's Diego Belém made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 76th minute Amir Pieng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, Diego Belém cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th minute, Diego Belém left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Albirex Niigata FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 13-0. After 90 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. 91 minutes into the match, Diego Belém notched a goal, 14-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Belém in the 95th minute of the match. Aziz Vijiaratnam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
