Mansour Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 7thth minute of the game Sabino Marrero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Mansour Buffon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. In the 11th minute, one of Mexico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mexico. 12 minutes into the match, Sabino Marrero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sabino Marrero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 15th minute of play forced Juventus FC's goalkeeper Mansour Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Juventus FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Lucas Cainzos hit a great ball. Mansour Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 18th minute of the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sabino Marrero to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Juventus FC's Galeno Bacete got a free kick in the 59th minute. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mansour Buffon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Mexico's Joel Gaona tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Juventus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Mansour Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Evaristo Palacios tried in the game's 64th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Mansour Buffon. An annoying self made goal, 2-1. Mansour Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 68th minute of the match. After 70 minutes, Lucas Cainzos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juventus FC and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Juventus FC! Juventus FC:s Mansour Buffon showed great skill when he stopped Joel Gaona:s penalty. Juventus FC were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sabino Marrero took the corner. Anko Arias was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Macias Pantoja in the 81st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Macias Pantoja went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Sabino Marrero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Mansour Buffon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Juventus FC had won after a very even match.
