Tymoteusz Mindykowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tymoteusz Tyskie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. After 11 minutes of play, Liwocz Brzyska's Zula Przebendowski made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Agustín Saelices might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tymoteusz Tyskie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agustín Saelices ran back to his position shaking his head. Jacek Mnich hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zygmunt Pietrowski in the 21st minute of play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Tymoteusz Tyskie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play forced Liwocz Brzyska's goalkeeper Tymoteusz Tyskie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tymoteusz Tyskie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Arias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Jacek Mnich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tymoteusz Tyskie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 33rd minute of play. Zygmunt Pietrowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tymoteusz Tyskie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A collision led to Liwocz Brzyska getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Tymoteusz Mindykowski hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Liwocz Brzyska's goalkeeper Tymoteusz Tyskie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Liwocz Brzyska's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tymoteusz Tyskie came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After having played for 51 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Tymoteusz Tyskie in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zula Przebendowski in the 74th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Liwocz Brzyska was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugon Tychy to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 82nd minute of play forced Liwocz Brzyska's goalkeeper Tymoteusz Tyskie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tymoteusz Tyskie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 83rd minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Tymoteusz Tyskie made a huge save. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Liwocz Brzyska fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
