Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augusto Bani to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant threw the ball into play from the sideline. In the 54th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bar Marconi United the free kick. In the 86th minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Efrain Moruga in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Bar Marconi United's Antonello Canzano. Efrain Moruga made in the 92nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eliseo Noboa however managed to control. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Felli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Although Bar Marconi United had been in control for most of the match, Costa Rica still came away with the win.
