The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. 江威川 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Fred Bonk in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81stth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 福建宁德活塞队's Fred Bonk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 方桑正, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when 柯默渊 came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Bonk having to interfere.
