Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Carmelo Benavides blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. In the 9th minute Oswaldo Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Joselito Rey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Carrillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Correa during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. When Felipe Cerna came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the SantaAna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Cerna couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswaldo Reyes got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Reyes in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carmelo Benavides who took care of the corner kick. Carmelo Benavides made a great header on SantaAna's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgardo Carrillo got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Venezuela booed when SantaAna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmelo Benavides didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 41 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. 42 minutes into the game, Felipe Cerna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oswaldo Reyes was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswaldo Reyes in the 51st minute of the match. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Salvador Menjivar having to make a save. If Oswaldo Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oswaldo Reyes went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 79th minute, Felipe Cerna made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 88th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Cerna, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After taking down the ball on SantaAna's corner Carmelo Benavides fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Joselito Rey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SantaAna's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
