In the 7th minute Ernani de Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jyrki Rajamäki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arto Karalahti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Artur Romero made a huge save. Arto Karalahti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 15 minutes of play, MDS Soccer Club's Frédson Salgado made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jyrki Rajamäki was left in no man's land by his defense there! Artur Romero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arto Karalahti in the 21st minute. In the 21st minute, Arto Karalahti reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Artur Romero. The goal made the score 1-3. In the 25th minute, Tony Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Palloketut's Eevert Hati got a free kick in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Arto Karalahti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artur Romero. MDS Soccer Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arto Karalahti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Palloketut's Jyrki Rajamäki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani de Toledo in the 33rd minute of play. Cleiton Paraíba scored 2-4 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jyrki Rajamäki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ernani de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Eevert Hati's late challenge caught a MDS Soccer Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eevert Hati helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd match minute, Palloketut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eevert Hati to maneuver through the defense. The Palloketut players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MDS Soccer Club were winning 2-4.

After a rather tough play, Palloketut's Alpi Askolin got a free kick in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anísio Pereira got free with Jyrki Rajamäki in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arto Karalahti might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Romero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arto Karalahti ran back to his position shaking his head. Artur Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arto Karalahti in the 60th minute of play. Ernani de Toledo took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jyrki Rajamäki. Jyrki Rajamäki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. Jyrki Rajamäki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anísio Pereira in the 67th minute. If Arto Karalahti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arto Karalahti in the 82nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvi Vuorio during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Palloketut's Jyrki Rajamäki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frédson Salgado in the 85th minute of play. When Ricardinho da Silva fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MDS Soccer Club's protests and gave Ricardinho da Silva a yellow card for diving instead. Frédson Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The MDS Soccer Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MDS Soccer Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
