Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Anton Harlén took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gunnar Klemensson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mané Quirino having to make a save. In the 12th minute Edgard Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Olof Ahlroht saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Anton Harlén recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mané Quirino. Anton Harlén showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After some careless play in the AIF defense, Edgard Cabral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sven-Olof Ahlroht. The AIF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sven-Olof Ahlroht should have stopped the shot. In the 23rd match minute, AIF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Axel Persson to maneuver through the defense. Goiás Esporte Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Anton Harlén scored to the left of an out of position Mané Quirino, making the score, 2-2. 33 minutes into the match, Edgard Cabral notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of AIF's Sven-Olof Ahlroht. Sven-Olof Ahlroht was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bror Skoog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Mané Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Goiás Esporte Clube were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Cabral was the one to do the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Edgard Cabral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AIF's Sven-Olof Ahlroht was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 53 played minutes Goiás Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Pinho. Sven-Olof Ahlroht stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgard Cabral's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. A collision led to AIF getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Fred Alegren hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Cabral in the 57th minute of play forced AIF's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Ahlroht to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandrinho Vides struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Sven-Olof Ahlroht didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goiás Esporte Clube. If Edgard Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven-Olof Ahlroht made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Edgard Cabral sent off a good shot on target. Wilhelm Anundsson kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. If Edgard Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven-Olof Ahlroht showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandrinho Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, AIF's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Cabral came free, but Sven-Olof Ahlroht reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Edgard Cabral made a precise shot to the right of Sven-Olof Ahlroht. AIF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. 89 minutes into the match, AIF's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Ahlroht had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nilmar Secco. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Cabral got free with Sven-Olof Ahlroht in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see AIF lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
