Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Casimiro Jenaro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 4th match minute, SAN LORENZO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Gonza to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute of the match, Luciano Vilches tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Natalio Mitxaut saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bartolomé Rengifo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 9th playminute. In the 13th minute Luciano Vilches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Mitxaut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luciano Vilches scored 2-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natalio Mitxaut, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 15 minutes, Casimiro Jenaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAN LORENZO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casimiro Jenaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 minutes of play, SAN LORENZO FC's Casimiro Jenaro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Apolo Larrañaga was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, SAN LORENZO FC's Natalio Mitxaut got control of the ball when Tanio Lezaeta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Casimiro Jenaro struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Apolo Larrañaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAN LORENZO FC. The supporters of Talcampeón FC booed when SAN LORENZO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Timo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natalio Mitxaut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Vilches in the 40th minute of the match. After 41 minutes, Jorge Rinaldi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAN LORENZO FC and the Talcampeón FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Casimiro Jenaro came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the SAN LORENZO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casimiro Jenaro couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Cross made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tanio Lezaeta during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 50th minute, Tanio Lezaeta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Natalio Mitxaut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolomé Rengifo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Natalio Mitxaut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Cross, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luciano Vilches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 minutes of play, Talcampeón FC's Jacinto Cross made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Natalio Mitxaut was left in no man's land by his defense there! SAN LORENZO FC's Ruperto Erlantz was substituted for Justino Quinito. Natalio Mitxaut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Vilches in the 73rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SAN LORENZO FC's Gerardo Gonza got a free kick in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Jacinto Cross had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Natalio Mitxaut. SAN LORENZO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Cross was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Talcampeón FC's Apolo Larrañaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Talcampeón FC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Vilches in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Natalio Mitxaut saved SAN LORENZO FC from getting behind. When Talcampeón FC's Jacinto Cross in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SAN LORENZO FC's goalie prevented a goal. 91 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tanio Lezaeta came free, but Natalio Mitxaut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natalio Mitxaut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomé Rengifo in the 92nd minute of the match. Talcampeón FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
