Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sandrinho Vides started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Goiás Esporte Clube's zone, Nereo Rodas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natanael Paraense came out of the goal and Nereo Rodas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximino Ofelio kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Laércio de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Romelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximino Ofelios short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Natanael Paraense to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Goiás Esporte Clube's Natanael Paraense got control of the ball when Maximino Ofelio tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandrinho Vides in the 25th minute of play forced SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper Gerardo Romelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Maximino Ofelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 37th minute, Sandrinho Vides made a precise shot to the right of Gerardo Romelio. SAN LORENZO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 42nd minute Laércio de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Romelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Vítor Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goiás Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Loyola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Vítor Loyola notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of SAN LORENZO FC's Gerardo Romelio. Gerardo Romelio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The SAN LORENZO FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Goiás Esporte Clube were winning 1-2.

Gerardo Romelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Vides in the 55th minute of play. If Vítor Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximino Ofelio charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximino Ofelio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 62 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Ofelio. Gerardo Romelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandrinho Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Gerardo Gonza's late challenge caught a Goiás Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerardo Gonza helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SAN LORENZO FC's Gerardo Gonza got a free kick in the 65th minute. After some careless play in the SAN LORENZO FC defense, Laércio de Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerardo Romelio. The SAN LORENZO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerardo Romelio should have stopped the shot. In the 83rd minute, Laércio de Souza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gerardo Romelio. The goal made the score 1-4. With a little luck, SAN LORENZO FC's Gerardo Romelio got control of the ball when Régis Hoffmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Régis Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Gerardo Romelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SAN LORENZO FC's Gerardo Romelio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save SAN LORENZO FC from getting a goal against them. Gerardo Romelio made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Laércio de Souza sent off a good shot on target. The SAN LORENZO FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Goiás Esporte Clube's performance. The match ended with a win for Goiás Esporte Clube.
