After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Tanio Lezaeta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talcampeón FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tanio Lezaeta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natanael Paraense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laércio de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th minute Andrés Villaseñor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natanael Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrés Villaseñor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Natanael Paraense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Régis Hoffmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goiás Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Talcampeón FC the free kick. In the 10th minute, Régis Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rainerio Huidobro in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natanael Paraense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cerilo Bustunzuria hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Carlos Alberto Villa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Carlos Alberto Villa made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Laércio de Souza sent off a good shot on target. José Francisco Maffey's late challenge caught a Goiás Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Francisco Maffey helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Talcampeón FC got a freekick which was hit by José Francisco Maffey. Sandrinho Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Villa having to interfere. The Talcampeón FC fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Talcampeón FC's Rainerio Huidobro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rainerio Huidobro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Goiás Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Natanael Paraense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute Talcampeón FC were awarded a corner. Pierre Fevre went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Pierre Fevre almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Goiás Esporte Clube's Natanael Paraense did a great save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 58th minute, Pierre Fevre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandrinho Vides struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Carlos Alberto Villa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goiás Esporte Clube. In the 60th minute Sandrinho Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Villa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natanael Paraense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rainerio Huidobro's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 63rdth minute of the game Rainerio Huidobro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goiás Esporte Clube's Natanael Paraense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Tanio Lezaeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Goiás Esporte Clube's Sandrinho Vides in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Talcampeón FC's goalie prevented a goal. Rainerio Huidobro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Natanael Paraense when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 77 played minutes Talcampeón FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Payten. In the 84th minute, Sandrinho Vides made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Alberto Villa. Talcampeón FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Carlos Alberto Villa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandrinho Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Talcampeón FC's Bernardino Payten got a free kick in the 88th minute. Goiás Esporte Clube's Natanael Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rainerio Huidobro in the 91st minute of play. The Goiás Esporte Clube fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Talcampeón FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
