If Daniel Magdaleno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Campana Gitanes Club's Florencio Innocenzio got control of the ball when Daniel Magdaleno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonides Calvino charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience was convinced that Felippe Saraiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Florencio Innocenzio was relentless in the 54th minute of the game.
