The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Goiás Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Klemensson came free, but Natanael Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 8 minutes, Davi Isac mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goiás Esporte Clube and the AIF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th minute, Davi Isac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunnar Klemensson in the 12th minute of play forced Goiás Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Natanael Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natanael Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Collin in the 13th minute of play. Natanael Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnar Klemensson in the 16th minute of the match. In the 16thth minute of the game Gunnar Klemensson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goiás Esporte Clube's Natanael Paraense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Natanael Paraense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Collin, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Goiás Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Collin came free, but Natanael Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Collin in the 20th minute of play forced Goiás Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Natanael Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Olof Ahlroht made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Marcus Diniz sent off a good shot on target. Natanael Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Harlén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of AIF booed when Goiás Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Umberto Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Olof Ahlroht having to interfere. Natanael Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunnar Klemensson in the 32nd minute of play. If Anton Harlén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sune Bålström kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Diniz in the 36th minute of play forced AIF's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Ahlroht to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Olof Ahlroht didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcus Diniz went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Goiás Esporte Clube's Natanael Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Harlén in the 42nd minute of play. If Wanderson Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anton Harlén to make the kick off. A collision led to Goiás Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Giovanni da Rocha hit a great ball. Sven-Olof Ahlroht showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Diniz in the 57th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Umberto Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stefan Collin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 70 minutes, Marcus Diniz made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. AIF's Sven-Olof Ahlroht tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th match minute, Goiás Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Natanael Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnar Klemensson in the 76th minute of the match. Natanael Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Harlén in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of Goiás Esporte Clube booed when AIF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sune Bålström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute of the match Umberto Peres shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sven-Olof Ahlroht showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Diniz in the 87th minute of play forced AIF's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Ahlroht to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, AIF's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Diniz came free, but Sven-Olof Ahlroht reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Olof Ahlroht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Diniz in the 90th minute of play. After 93 minutes of play, Goiás Esporte Clube's Marcus Diniz made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Olof Ahlroht was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Goiás Esporte Clube had won after a very even match.
