Victor Heredia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as MDS Soccer Club's José Maria Mineiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of John Locke. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. If Victor Heredia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind MDS Soccer Club's goalkeeper Artur Romero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 13 played minutes MDS Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Lukasz Gmoch. In the 19th minute José Maria Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Locke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabricio Dunixi kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. When Victor Heredia came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the SAN LORENZO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Heredia couldn't finish the play. Artur Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Emeterio, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Heredia in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artur Romero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of MDS Soccer Club booed when SAN LORENZO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Rodas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Heredia was the one to do the kick off. Gustavo Matosas was slow to take the kick. During this time SAN LORENZO FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led SAN LORENZO FC's Gustavo Matosas to fire away a dangerous shot which Artur Romero despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. John Locke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Mineiro in the 77th minute of play. In the 86th minute Cleiton Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Locke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, MDS Soccer Club's Cleiton Paraíba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John Locke made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The SAN LORENZO FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
