Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benigno Ricart to make the kick off. When Fabricio Chale came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Deportivo Mandiyu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Chale couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute, Teofilo Salvadore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hipolito Bizen made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Lucas Reyes sent off a good shot on target. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laureano Eladio took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pablo Erasto. Pablo Erasto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Pablo Erasto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laureano Eladio, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, La Candela FC's Carlos Salinas got a free kick in the 82nd minute. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Benigno Ricart took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Hipolito Bizen to make any attempt to save it. Alejo Arnas's late challenge caught a Deportivo Mandiyu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alejo Arnas helped the player get up and apologised. Alejo Arnas kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The La Candela FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing La Candela FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
