In the 21st minute of the match, Eliézer Cavalcante got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rodriguinho Sousa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Divina Comédia FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Alessandro Castro hit a great ball. Zhuang Shi Ting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilhelm Skoog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Deilmison van Basten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zhuang Shi Ting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Cavalcante in the 44th minute of play forced ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliézer Cavalcante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Divina Comédia FC got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Pistolelis. After having played for 52 minutes, Deilmison van Basten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATHLETICO PRaiano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deilmison van Basten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Divina Comédia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ATHLETICO PRaiano the free kick. Vasile Homeag kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Unax Mudarra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Divina Comédia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Castro to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute Deilmison van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zhuang Shi Ting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Deilmison van Basten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ATHLETICO PRaiano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Divina Comédia FC made a substitution. Zé Paulo Siqueira replaced Silvinho Mangueira. After a defensive mix-up in Divina Comédia FC's zone, Deilmison van Basten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zhuang Shi Ting came out of the goal and Deilmison van Basten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deilmison van Basten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zhuang Shi Ting having to interfere. ATHLETICO PRaiano were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
