Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Barbosa in the 2nd minute of play. Percival Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Indiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Romário Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Palestra do Interior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romário Barbosa couldn't finish the play. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 吴洲坚, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Palestra do Interior's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Romário Barbosa in the 16th minute. The corner led to Palestra do Interior's 吴洲坚 getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Godoi came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pascual Carballar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Allan Varela firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 30th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Palestra do Interior's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Axel Montenegro made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Percival Cruz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Ernani Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Allan Varela made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Axel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Allan Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 47th minute, Kevin Mastache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 52nd minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Palestra do Interior's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Axel Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 60 minutes of play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Allan Varela was left in no man's land by his defense there! Allan Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Mastache came free, but Allan Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Palestra do Interior's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Montenegro took the corner. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Paulo Godoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Herbert Pankowski replaced 吴洲坚. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Lago in the 78th minute of play. Allan Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 79th minute of the match. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. 83 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Lago came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Allan Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Allan Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Secada in the 91st minute of play. In the 94thth minute of the game Ignacio Mastache who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
