Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brin Delaney in the 13th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şeref Özdeş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Şeref Özdeş stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Gaona's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. With a little luck, MeZoPoTaMYa FK's Şeref Özdeş got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Şeref Özdeş. Lautaro Mancebo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, MeZoPoTaMYa FK's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Şeref Özdeş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 31st minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurence Sheppard in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Brin Delaney came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Tansu Ağyar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Rouco got a free kick in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brin Delaney was the one to do the kick off. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Şeref Özdeş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Asaf Songurhan could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Dante Lacasa however easily saved by the left post. After some careless play in the MeZoPoTaMYa FK defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şeref Özdeş. The MeZoPoTaMYa FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şeref Özdeş should have stopped the shot. 58 minutes into the match, MeZoPoTaMYa FK's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Şeref Özdeş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Şeref Özdeş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 64th minute of play. After having played for 70 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 79th minute of play forced MeZoPoTaMYa FK's goalkeeper Şeref Özdeş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brin Delaney, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Laurence Sheppard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mexico fans cheered their team off the field, for while MeZoPoTaMYa FK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
