Joel Hibai started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Peru's Efraim Gilabert got a free kick in the 5th minute. Cristoforo Tammaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milagros Fraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalkeeper Cristoforo Tammaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 12 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristoforo Tammaro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristoforo Tammaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 37th minute of play forced Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalkeeper Cristoforo Tammaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Peru booed when Lunatics of Arianrhod was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elia Di Sipio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristoforo Tammaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Martini in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Lunatics of Arianrhod's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Cristoforo Tammaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Morelli kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Milagros Fraga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Moises Gayoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Cristoforo Tammaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efraim Gilabert to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Lunatics of Arianrhod getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Johan Ström hit a great ball. In the 60thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lunatics of Arianrhod's Cristoforo Tammaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Cristoforo Tammaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Gallo in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Milagros Fraga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Cristoforo Tammaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Ernesto Benedetti was substituted for Elia Di Sipio. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
