But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. After 58 minutes, Camilo Gisbert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Lengua de Lobo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! The referee gave Lengua de Lobo a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tristan Baldwin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. 2-2. Emanuel Quintan's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 94th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgardo Patxi skillfully saved the ball. In the 95th match minute, Lengua de Lobo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Quintan to maneuver through the defense. The Lengua de Lobo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
