The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Patryk Ranc in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cheng Chao in the 39th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Turbo Koksy's zone, Milagros Fraga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patryk Ranc came out of the goal and Milagros Fraga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Patryk Ranc made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Turbo Koksy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zachary Domin to maneuver through the defense. Turbo Koksy succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Peru had controlled the match.
