The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to El Cementerio getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Rui Linares hit a great ball. After 11 played minutes, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Felippe Lima came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Venezuela reached it. Felippe Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute of the match Silvestre Urre sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Blanco in the 16th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Silvestre Urre fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Guillermo Mariano's late challenge caught a El Cementerio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Mariano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 26th minute. El Cementerio's Felippe Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 33rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvestre Urre in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute, El Cementerio's Silvestre Urre dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Blanco in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvestre Urre was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alonzo Blanco in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 63 minutes of play, El Cementerio's Alonzo Blanco made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Silvestre Urre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Felippe Lima quite easily take care of the ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felippe Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felippe Lima having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 82nd minute of play forced El Cementerio's goalkeeper Felippe Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Cementerio's Basilio Satordi was substituted for Alonzo Blanco. Thanks to some nice moves Tomas Illescas could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Felippe Lima however easily saved by the left post. In the 89th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. El Cementerio's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
