Yıldıray Pektay might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yıldıray Pektay ran back to his position shaking his head. If Yıldıray Pektay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 88 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yıldıray Pektay. In the 90th minute, Yıldıray Pektay fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 92nd minute Abram Secada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yannis Specht saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Kevin Mastache went to the cornerflag to take it.
