Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrik Ingemarsson having to interfere. Kenneth McKinnell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Stig-Åke Ljungberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Henry Kristiansson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kenneth McKinnell was extremely unlucky when he, in the 19th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 20th minute, Venezuela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mathias Björk fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Catholic Church getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Timur Malyugin hit a great ball. Timur Malyugin charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timur Malyugin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 34 minutes into the match, Catholic Church's Kenneth McKinnell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Catholic Church's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kenneth McKinnell in the 35th minute. After taking down the ball on Catholic Church's corner Kenneth McKinnell fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. In the 38th minute Kenneth McKinnell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 minutes of play Catholic Church's Timur Malyugin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Catholic Church getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Timur Malyugin hit a great ball. Salvador Gisbert hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Henry Kristiansson in the 51 minute of the game. Salvador Gisbert hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Mathias Björk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Kenneth McKinnell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth McKinnell, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kenneth McKinnell was slow to take the kick. During this time Catholic Church's players had a chance to rest. Catholic Church's Kenneth McKinnell was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henrik Ingemarsson was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. The referee felt a red card was in order, 87 minutes into the game, when Oskar Bergqvist put in a rough tackle. Catholic Church's Henry Kristiansson managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Salvador Gisbert in the 93 minute of the game. The throw-in from Guillermo Mariano in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Catholic Church's Stig-Åke Ljungberg. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Björk in the 96th minute of play. Tomas Illescas came free with the goalkeeper in the 98th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Henrik Ingemarsson could save by the left post. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
