Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gertjan Baars was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Gerjan Staarman managed to get in a good position for a shot. SV Wissenkerke's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerjan Staarman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Jean-Paul Schuiling reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lautaro Navarro. The goal made the score 2-4. In the 91st minute, Edmundo Espiga made a precise shot to the right of Frits van Loo. SV Wissenkerke's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. SV Wissenkerke succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Honduras had controlled the match.
