Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Cordeal having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Eliseo Mina in the 8th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Plebeyos's Zoilo Viejo. Arsenio Cordeal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 10th minute of the match. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. When Plebeyos's Aaden Hutton in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peru's goalie prevented a goal. Arsenio Cordeal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 23rd minute of play forced Plebeyos's goalkeeper Arsenio Cordeal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaden Hutton in the 29th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Plebeyos's Aaden Hutton. But to his dismay, Aaden Hutton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Carlos Monzón's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Monzón helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, Plebeyos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Monzón to maneuver through the defense. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Plebeyos's Arsenio Cordeal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

55 minutes into the match, Plebeyos's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Arsenio Cordeal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaden Hutton in the 70th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arsenio Cordeal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the game, Eduardo Tuzzio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Luz Tejedor quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 80 minutes into the match, Aaden Hutton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aaden Hutton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Plebeyos made a substitution. Vicente Gutxi replaced Carlos Monzón. After having played for 86 minutes, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Peru booed when Plebeyos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zoilo Viejo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru's Eliseo Mina got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
