In the 20th match minute, Plebeyos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kåre Uter to maneuver through the defense. Zoilo Viejo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Cihan Uzkan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Clemente Fe made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. Plebeyos's Arsenio Cordeal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 32nd minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaden Hutton, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Arsenio Cordeal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zoilo Viejo during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Peru booed when Plebeyos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zoilo Viejo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Clemente Fe made in the 51st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Clemente Fe. In the 55th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Plebeyos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aaden Hutton's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Cordeal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillos short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Arsenio Cordeal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Clemente Fe kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
