Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Jamaicafastfoot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Sayveon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Iturralde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mario Iturralde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of play. Conrado Cesario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Mario Iturralde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Rodas, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conrado Cesario got free with Julio Vera in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jamaicafastfoot's goalkeeper Mario Iturralde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florencio Velasco to make the kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Cesario in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to Jamaicafastfoot getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gaspar Mundo hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Florencio Velasco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 57th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mario Iturralde was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Cesario, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. When Daniel Zorita fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Daniel Zorita a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute of the match Jamaicafastfoot got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gaspar Mundo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Jamaicafastfoot's corner Gaspar Mundo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. In the 67th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Mario Iturralde made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Gaspar Mundo kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Lucas Haritz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeo Rodas in the 77th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Cesario in the 78th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Haritz in the 80th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Mario Iturralde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Iturralde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mario Iturralde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Mario Iturralde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amadeo Rodas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
