Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hipolito Jobo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Hipolito Jobo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. 18 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roque Lamberto. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Edmundo Espiga put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hipolito Jobo. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Valentín Carvallo got a free kick in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilio Haritzeder got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gervasio Arnas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute Argentina AFC were awarded a corner. Emilio Haritzeder went to the cornerflag to take it. Ariel Esiquio made in the 33rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Pedro Osoitz immediately put the ball in play. After having played for 35 minutes, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Argentina AFC's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hipolito Jobo came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Argentina AFC's Hipolito Jobo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 41st minute Moises Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Jobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hipolito Jobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute of the game Ariel Esiquio made a throw-in which Gervasio Arnas played forward. 53 minutes into the game, Pedro Osoitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Argentina AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, Argentina AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Osoitz to maneuver through the defense. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute of the match Honduras got a corner. Argentina AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmundo Espiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Honduras's Christian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Hipolito Jobo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Hipolito Jobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Honduras booed when Argentina AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roque Lamberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Argentina AFC's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hipolito Jobo came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Hipolito Jobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervasio Arnas in the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Haritzeder in the 72nd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gervasio Arnas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Hipolito Jobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Tafalla in the 84th minute of the match. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Argentina AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 90 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argentina AFC the free kick. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Sebastian Villa hit a great ball.
