Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joshua Curbelo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Luque in the 4th minute of play forced FC Momlinho's goalkeeper Valentin Nyberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 6th play minutes Moises Fernandino shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Valentin Nyberg and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 9th minute, Moises Fernandino made a precise shot to the right of Valentin Nyberg. FC Momlinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The attack was good, but when Moises Fernandino in the 13th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 16th minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valentin Nyberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC Momlinho's zone, Abram Luque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Nyberg came out of the goal and Abram Luque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute, Moises Fernandino made a precise shot to the right of Valentin Nyberg. FC Momlinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Valentin Nyberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The throw-in from Stig-Åke Fanström in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by El Salvador's Luis Rubio. A collision led to FC Momlinho getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Bo Thorsberg hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Moises Fernandino made a precise shot to the right of Valentin Nyberg. FC Momlinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After the first half El Salvador were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moises Fernandino was the one to do the kick off. Jorge Magrina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Valentin Nyberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Luis Rubio in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Momlinho's Freddie Delin. Mateo Leguizamo hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Valentin Nyberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Marco Tamayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Valentin Nyberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Moises Fernandino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Salvador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. In the 95th minute, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Valentin Nyberg. Valentin Nyberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. El Salvador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
