With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquin Gayoso didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Desert Fury's Afonso Amado shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. 16 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hernani Correia. Francisco Seco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. When Alberto Gisbert came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Gisbert couldn't finish the play. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio Malheiro in the 27th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Afonso Amado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Amado in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Nuno Dikaté was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 3-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano made it 4-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hernani Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hélio Manarte did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-5 to the left of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso 56 minutes into the match. Desert Fury's Hernani Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 61st minute of play. In the 67th minute, Afonso Amado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-5. Hernani Correia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 80th minute, Hélio Manarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute of the match Uruguay got a corner. Desert Fury's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Cazalla ran over to the corner to take the kick. Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hernani Correia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Camilo Franco hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Hernani Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 87th minute of play. Desert Fury's Hernani Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 89th minute of play. The Desert Fury fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Desert Fury's Nuno Ramos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Desert Fury walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
