The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Osoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Argentina AFC's Ariel Esiquio got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Hipolito Jobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After having played for 7 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Argentina AFC's Emilio Haritzeder dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cipriano Perpinya hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Lautaro Puig notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Argentina AFC's Hipolito Jobo. Hipolito Jobo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efrain Moruga during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Benito Sanz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 36th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. In the 38th minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Gervasio Arnas took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Gervasio Arnas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 43rd minute. Argentina AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emilio Haritzeder went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Hipolito Jobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Emilio Haritzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lautaro Puig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Hipolito Jobo made a huge save. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Lamberto in the 63rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 64th minute. Hipolito Jobo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 66th minute. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Argentina AFC! Axel Tasis shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 72nd minute, Ariel Esiquio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Haritzeder in the 84th minute of the match. After 87 minutes of play, Argentina AFC's Roque Lamberto made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. In the 95th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Argentina AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
