Raymond Louis made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Motta Futebol Clube's Mazinho Pombal. 24 minutes into the match, Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Válter Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Gesner Philippe came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Haiti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gesner Philippe couldn't finish the play. The throw-in from Raymond Louis in the 46th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Motta Futebol Clube's Mazinho Pombal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Jonathan Alphonse made the kick off in the second half. Haiti's attentive Raymond Louis managed to snatch the ball when João Vítor de Lara made a throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game. A collision led to Motta Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Jerônimo Sousa hit a great ball. Edvaldo dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Noel Seide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Louis to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the match, Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Válter Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonathan Alphonse kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Válter Sousa. That made the score 0-2 in the 97 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Haiti walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
