After 19 minutes NEGAN y los savadores's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Mexico's Luca Rouco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vinicio Librado in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that Alberto Tafalla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinicio Librado was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Felix Luque got a free kick in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Vinicio Librado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luca Zorita in the 53rd minute. NEGAN y los savadores's Vinicio Librado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 56th minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 93rd minute of play forced NEGAN y los savadores's goalkeeper Vinicio Librado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, NEGAN y los savadores's Vinicio Librado got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Mexico played a much better game than NEGAN y los savadores and deserved their victory.
