Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iron Maiden FC's Arın Biçim suffered a sore thigh after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Primitivo Andino fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Primitivo Andino a yellow card for diving instead. Iron Maiden FC made a substitution. García Garate replaced Arın Biçim. After 18 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dave Murray got free with Julio Vera in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play forced Iron Maiden FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Nueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match, Dave Murray got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dave Murray's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Honorio Torrent recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute Iron Maiden FC were awarded a corner. García Garate went to the cornerflag to take it. Dave Murray could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by García Garate in the 37th minute. Dave Murrays short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Günalp Talip made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Günalp Talip came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dave Murray in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Sebastián Puig charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Sebastián Puig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. Iron Maiden FC made a substitution. Marcos Olano replaced Rob Halford. After 62 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Murray in the 63rd minute of the match. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Adalberto Nueva made a huge save. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Adalberto Nueva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adalberto Nueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of play. Adalberto Nueva was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Luis Andino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luis Andino really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. In the 80th minute Günalp Talip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adalberto Nueva. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. 88 minutes into the match, Iron Maiden FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Adalberto Nueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Günalp Talip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Clive Burr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador played a much better game than Iron Maiden FC and deserved their victory. The Iron Maiden FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
